SAFETY TALK 

CLADDING PANELS

1. All deliveries must be pre-arranged and agreed with organization . Offloading areas must also be agreed with organization
2. All deliveries must be on site within the site perimeter hoarding, prior to slinging commencing - where lifting from outside the hoarding line a Method Statement on procedure must be agreed.
3. Only approved lifting equipment to be used on cladding operations. Certificates are required to be submitted to organization
4. Safe access must be provided to the sling attachment position.
5. Ensure that any packing is clear of the panel to be lifted and that adjacent panels are independently secured in place.
6.  Radio contact or signaling system to be checked out with the crane operator/banksman / Co-coordinator prior to lifting.
7. Tag ropes to be attached to cladding unit for operatives to maintain safe handling in tight situations.
8. All lifting operations must be safely routed and contained within the site perimeter hoarding
9. Lowering zone to be cordoned off.
10. Safe working access must be provided for securing of panels in place. Make sure you know your method statement.
11. The Safe Working Load of Mobile Elevated Working Platforms, e.g. scissor lifts, cherry pickers, mast climbers etc. must not be exceeded. organization requires certificates of training in the use of your equipment.
12. Operations to have sufficient management/supervisory control.
13. You are responsible for liaison with crane co-coordinator for all lifting operations.
14. All power tools etc. must be appropriate for use, in good condition and tested appropriately. 
15. Site Management are accountable for any deviations from or improvisations to this safety working procedure.
