 Which fire extinguisher can be used in CONFINE SPACE .why not Dcp?

When a CO2 extinguisher is used in a confined space there is danger that the user may become overwhelmed by the sudden increase in carbon dioxide emissions. This occurs as  CO2 is an asphyxiant, and the confined space means oxygen will be replaced by the CO2 much faster care must also be taken when using(  DCP)powder extinguishers. When the powder is discharged it can impair visibility and impact the breathing of the user, possibly jeopardizing their escape(exit,). 

The possibility of the powder being inhaled or impairing visibility is increased when this type of extinguisher is used within a confined space

PRECAUTION during use of above mentioned  wear SCABA but avoid DCP

1. Generally in substation or confined space , telecommunication sites, data centers and archives and museums,  etc. FM200  automatic system is used to extinguish fire
2. If there is fire in tank then  do use clean agent fire extinguisher, and if there is fire on combustible material in tank then use DCP. Fire on LPG tank then use CO2 . But must know exit place. Your back should be direction to exit.

Remember  Fm 200 and Novec 1230 are safe for  humans because it's electronically non-conductive . The fire suppression system extinguishes   primarily through  heat absorption and is safe for use in occupied areas 

Some people say FM 200 is ban due to global warming 

There are no  outright bans on FM-200  anywhere except  a few notable exceptions where certain countries have created barriers limiting the ability to sell FM-200 fire protection systems.

Both Novec 1230 and FM-200 are considered safe for use around humans
